Geo416 is performed to make the Earth resistance measurements of 2 wires to 4 wires with voltimetric method and terrain resistivity measurement that is of fundamental importance during the projection phases of land facilities.

The 2-wire method, taking advantage of other surfaces such as references (metallic, tubing, neutral conductor, etc.) is particularly useful in civilian environments where the 3-fios method cannot be used. The instrument allows to perform themeasurements with a high measurement scale (up to 50kohm)with an effective internal compensation of the disturbance effects present in the facilities.
